VP inaugurates celebrations of National Day in Taiz
TAIZ, April 21(Saba) - Vice
President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi inaugurated here on Wednesday the rhetorical
celebration held
by the national alliance and civil society organizations in Taiz province.
At the celebration which comes within the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of
the National Day, May 22,Hadi delivered a speech reviewing the struggle role of
sons of
Taiz province in defending the 26th September and 14th October revolutions, which
the strategic objective of them was the achievement of national unity.
"We find it a valuable opportunity to reaffirm this day that we, in the state and
the General People Congress (GPC)and the National Democratic Alliance parties ,are
determined
on dialogue as a stable option", said Hadi.
However, Hadi explained that the concept of dialogue for the Joint Meeting Parties
(JMP), as proved by events, is more of creating crises because they were not
serious and
are not committed to the agreement of February and they want to create crisis after
crisis.
"We have not reached to a specific outcome with the JMP in view of the volatile
policy and lack of vision and falsehoods contrived by the JMP", he added.
Hadi pointed out that the JMP do not have a clear program and a national vision to
present to the people to address the situation and they are not ready for
arbitration
to democracy and the ballot boxes.
Unlike the JMP, the GPC had its national program and a clear political vision and
it has presented its program to the people and got the people's support in all
previous
elections at the different levels and the GPC is committed to implement its program,
Hadi explained.
"In this occasion, we reiterate the call for the JMP to put the interests of the
country above all interests and engage in dialogue without any preconditions", said
Hadi.
Hadi called on all political forces and parties, civil society organizations,
social figures, intellectuals, and religious scholars to bear their
responsibilities in their
respective fields to consolidate the sound culture of the national unity that is
free of the distortions resulted from the colonial past and separation.
