Yemeni-Omani ministerial meeting kicked off in Sana`a
SANA'A, April 21 (Saba)- The
Yemeni and Omani Joint Ministerial Committee started on Wednesday its 10th meeting
co-chaired
by Minister of Transport Khaled al-Wazir and Omani Transport Minister Khamis bin
Mubarak al-Alawi.
The two-day meeting will discuss horizons of the mutual cooperation between the two
countries in fields of agriculture, trade, tourism, customs, transport,
environment,
investment and industry in addition to cooperation between Yemeni and Omani
businessmen.
In the opening session of the meeting, al-Wazir highlighted historical Yemeni-Omani
ties in political, social and economic arenas under sponsorship of the leaderships
of
both nations.
He also pointed out to the achievements of the committee in building new bridges of
the relationship and horizons of mutual cooperation between peoples of two
countries.
He expressed appreciation of Yemen for the Omani support for the unity, security
and stability of Yemen.
For his part, the Omani Transport Minister Khamis bin Mubarak al-Alawi said that
the meeting comes within continuing cooperation between the two countries to
enhance brotherly
relations between the two countries.
He wished that the meeting would come out with joint vision to severe common
interests of both nations.
It is scheduled that two sides would sign two memorandums of understanding to
enhance mutual cooperation between the two countries in domains of insurance and
environment
as well as measures to organize trade movement for livestock and agricultural
products between the two countries.
