Ex-Bin Laden Bodyguard Says `Al-Qaeda Is Weak`

SANA'A, April 24 (Saba) - Former
bodyguard of Osama Bin Laden has written that Al-Qaeda is weak and that there are
many disarrays
inside its leadership, urging the youth to stay away from the organization.
In his remarks in the book on Osama Bin Laden, that was published in association
with a French journalist, Nasser Al-Bahri said that the main idea of the book was
aimed
at the youth to help them say no for extremists topped by Al-Qaeda.
He also said that, the book issued with Georges Malbrunot, contained stories on
Osama's character as a leader.
Al-Bahri was earlier denied a French visa, with authorities saying it was not
suitable for the man to enter France.
On the matter, Al-Bahri said he was surprised by the French move.
He planned to enter the country to take part in launching the book titled in the
Shadow of Bin Laden.
On his joining Al-Qaeda in 1990s, Al-Bahri said that he had an idea to fight the
west or the great tyrannical, the westerner, and the fight could not be but with
Jihad.
'I searched for a good organization to help me meet my wish and finally found
Al-Qaeda.' But during working for the organization I discovered the organization is
already
fragile, he said.
'I warn the youth to stay away from extremists and urge them to listen to other
good people. It is true we have conflicts with the west but the westerners remain
humans
that we can deal with through dialogue.' Nasser Al-Bahri abandoned Al-Qaeda in 2000.
He demonstrated this through giving the U.S. precious information after the 9/11
attacks.
