Yemen discusses cooperation with SFD, ICD

SANA'A, April 24 (Saba)- Undersecretary of
Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Abdullah al-Shater met here on
Saturday
with the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD)'s delegation.
The two sides discussed the preparation for draft memoranda of agreement for the
projects the teaching hospital at Sana'a University, which the Saudi Fund
contributes by
USD 45 million, and the project of transmission lines from Marib gas station, which
the fund contributes by USD 60 million as a grant.
In addition to following up the progress in the implementation of the SFD-funded
projects , including the first and second gas stations and Aden Public Hospital and
the
projects of technical education and vocational training.
On another hand, al-Shater discussed with the Development of Private Sector (ICD)'s
delegation, currently visiting Yemen, the corporation's activities and its
contribution
to support the private sector, which Yemen obtains a large proportion of the
corporation funds and comes in the second rank after Saudi Arabia among the 56
member states
benefiting from the corporation's finance.
Al-Shater's meeting with the ICD's delegation also dealt with the corporation's
role in supporting the Ministry of Industry and Trade to establish industrial zones
in a
number of provinces in the country.
