ISSUES OF REFUGEES IN LAHJ DISCUSSED

LAHJ, April 25 (Saba) - Secretary General of the Local Council of Lahj province Ali Mater met here on Sunday with the protection official of the UNHCR's office in Aden province Hala al- Horani.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues relating to the refugees affairs and aspects of coordination between the local authority and the UNHCR so as to improve the conditions of refugees.

Mater affirmed the readiness of the province leadership and the local council to support the UNHCR's efforts and facilitate all difficulties to provide the best services for the refugees.

For her part, the UNHCR's official appreciated the active role played by the local authority in the province in facilitating the UNHCR's duties towards the refugees in Kharaz Camp and the neighboring villages.
