SUICIDE BOMBER ATTACKS CONVOY OF BRITISH ENVOY IN YEMEN, NONE HURT
SANA'A, April 26 (Saba) - The Interior Ministry said on Monday that
the British ambassador to Yemen Tim Torlot survived early today a
suicide bomb attack.
The ministry's Information Center reported a suicide bomber
detonated an explosive vest at the ambassador's convoy at the Berlin
Park in Noqum District but none was hurt.
The ambassador came out unhurt and none of his escorts and
accompanying British officials was injured in the failed attack, it
said.
The ministry also said that the parts of the suicide bomber's body
were seen, with his head found after three houses from the explosion
site. The head was found on the roof of a house.
The attack bore al-Qaeda hallmarks and an investigation is underway,
it added.
