M'SIA'S IBC SOLAR IN DEAL TO SUPPORT CHINA IN TRAINING PHOTOVOLTAIC
KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Bernama) -- IBC Solar, the parent company of
Malaysia-based IBC Solar Teknik Sdn Bhd, will support China in training
photovoltaic installers.
The move will help the country build more green buildings and reduce carbon
dioxide emissions.
Photovoltaic is a material which converts solar radiation into direct
electricity.
A contract sealing the pact was signed at IBC Solar in BadStaffelstein,
Germany, earlier this month during a visit there by officials from the Chinese
Ministry of Construction.
IBC Solar Teknik, whose main activities include installing integrated solar
systems, solar street lighting, solar wireless emergency telephones, solar
equipment and components, is currently spearheading green technology via
projects and installations in both Sabah and Sarawak.
"This is a new and innovative idea for the construction sector. Future
buildings will no longer consume energy but rather generate it," China's
Deputy Construction Minister, Yao Bing, said in a statement.
IBC Solar will also support in developing unified certification guidelines
for personal computer systems in China.
"These regulations will allow us to exert pressure on companies to implement
regenerative energy alternatives. As a result, the photovoltaic industry in
China will develop well over the coming years," Yao Bing said.
