YEMEN'S IMPLEMENTATION OF 1373 SC RESOLUTION DISCUSSED

SANA'A, April 26 (Saba) - Yemen and UN Security Council (SC) presented by Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) reviewed here on Monday security issues relating to Yemen's implementation of Security Council's resolution 1373 (2001) for combating terrorism.

During their meeting, Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs Rashad al-Alimi and the CTED Executive Director Mike Smith talked about all related issues of countering terrorism.

They also discussed subjects of legal issues including offences and penalties as well as security aspects.

Al-Alimi hailed the efforts of the SC in terrorism field, affirming the need to enhance their cooperation in different developmental and security fields.

In return, Smith praised Yemen's efforts in fields of combating terrorism.
