JAPAN'S MFA OFFICER VISITING
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Head of the Department for Asia and the Pacific of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs A.Saiki started a visit to Mongolia on April 25.
An expanded meeting was held April 27 between D.Tsogtbaatar, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, and Mr Saiki.
At the meeting, Mr Tsogtbaatar underlined that the Mongolia-Japan relations are one of the prior directions of Mongolia's foreign policy. He pointed out that Mongolia attaches great importance to its relations and cooperation with Japan, and expressed a willingness of the Mongolian side to bring the comprehensive partnership relations into a newer level.
The sides also shared views on developing the ties in economy, trade and investments such as studying an opportunity to establish an economic partnership agreement. They talked about the collaboration in the mining, infrastructure and energy sectors and discussed the bilateral cooperation in international and regional affairs.
The same day, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar received Mr Saiki. The latter's visit completes on Wednesday.
