MONGOLIAN CITIZENS CAUGHT FOR SMUGGLING HEROIN

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ A Mongolian citizen was detained April 9, 2010 in border checkpoint of the Shenzhen city, China, for carrying an 820-gram heroin in his luggage, the Mongolian Embassy to China reported Tuiesday. He was caught while travelling to Shenzhen city from Hong Kong.
A criminal procedure is established against him according to the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, and the case is now under investigation.
In the meantime, another drug smuggling case concerning Mongolian citizens happened in Hong Kong on April 20, 2010. Four Mongolian citizens, travelling to the mainland China from Malaysia via Hong Kong, were caught at Airport Police of Hong Kong. In their stomacjs were found swallowed heroin of 990 grams, 781 grams, 1100 grams and 880 grams.
The Consular Section of the Embassy of Mongolia to China is working on the case in conjunction with Chinese police and customs organizations to get more detailed information about investigation process, advocacy, charge accusations and health of these Mongolian citizens.
