Thai supreme commander visits Vietnam to enhance ties
Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam People's Army and the Thai Royal Army will further strengthen their ties and increase the exchange of views on issues of mutual concern.
The agreement was reached by Supreme Commander of the Thai Royal Army, Boonsrang Niumpradit, and Chief of General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Nguyen Khac Nghien, during their meeting in Hanoi on July 7.
The military leaders pledged to work for increased solidarity and mutual understanding between the two countries and the two armed forces for the sake of peace, friendship and cooperation.
The same day, Thai general Boonsrang Niumpradit and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh.
