Yemeni-Malaysian relations in higher education area reviewed
SANA'A, April 26 (Saba)
- Yemen and Malaysia talked about promoting the bilateral relations between Ministry
of
Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Malaysian universities in fields of
higher education.
Deputy of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mohammed Mutahar
discussed with the Malaysian universities delegation headed by rector of University
Putra
Malaysia (UPM) the possibility of signing a mutual agreements between the Ministry
and Malaysian universities via the cultural attaché in the Yemeni embassy in
Malaysia.
Under the would-be agreement, the tuition fees of the Yemeni students in the
Malaysian universities are to be reduced.
At the meeting, the Malaysian universities' rectors gave a brief explanation to the
Deputy Minister on the educational programs studying in the Malaysian universities
as
well as the facilities provided to the Yemeni students who granted scholarships in
Malaysia.
For his part, Mutahar reviewed the efforts exerted by the Ministry to improve the
higher education outcomes and quality as well as the programs studied at the Yemeni
universities.
He affirmed the educational fair organized by the 13 Malaysian universities in
Sana'a during the period of April 24-25 is regarded as a big chance to familiarize
the Yemeni
students, who desire to study in Malaysia with the educational services presented by
the Malaysian universities in different scientific specialties.
