PM LAUNCHES TRAINING FOR INTERNAL LOCAL ELECTIONS SUPERVISORS

SANA'A, April 27 (Saba) - Prime Minister Ali Mujawar launched on
Tuesday the training program for the supervisory committees of the
internal local elections being organized by the Local Administration
Ministry.

At the opening, he delivered a speech urging the committees to do
their best to make the elections, which represent a turning point in
Yemen, a success.

These elections are crucial because they are the core of the modern
Yemeni state, he said.

The elections, which coincide with the celebrations on Democracy
Day, come as a result of democratic awareness and within drive of
administrative change, he added.

The success of them will be a sign of our successful democratic
project with which the government plans broad local governance, he
said, urging concerted action to help promote democracy.
