RASE'A AFFIRMS YEMEN'S SUPPORT NEED FOR ANTI-AIDS PROGRAM



GENEVA, April 28 (Saba)- Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul-Kareem Rase'a affirmed on Wednesday in Geneva that Yemen is still in need for urgent support for the National Program for Combating AIDS.

This was mentioned in Yemen speech at the 21st meeting for the Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculoses (GFATM) and Malaria in Geneva.

He pointed out efforts of the GFATM and its role in helping countries in need up to the 9th round of projects, calling for the importance of continuing such policies of the Fund.

The minister also noted the importance of decisions to be discussed during the meeting which will last for 3 days, out of which defining support priorities for concern countries during the 10th round of projects.

He asserted that lowering support of the GFATM will have a negative impact on those infected people.
