BULGARIAN FOREIGN MINISTER THANKS G.ZANDANSHATAR

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr Nickolay Mladenov has sent a letter of gratitude to G.Zandanshatar, the Foreign Minister of Mongolia, for congratulating him on becoming the Foreign Minister of Bulgaria.
The letter states that Bulgaria attaches great importance to the traditional and friendly relations with Mongolia. The Bulgarian Minister is confident that this year's celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations will provide a valuable opportunity for upgrading and strengthening the bilateral long-standing cooperation.
In his letter, Mr Mladenov conveys his appreciation to the Mongolian Foreign Ministry for his appraisal regarding Bulgaria's recent reforms in the course of its accession to the European Union.
The letter says Bulgaria supports a path of political pluralism and economic liberalization Mongolia has chosen, and that the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry is ready to render all possible assistance to Mongolia's Embassy in Sofia in sharing experiences regarding European standards and norms.
He is satisfied with noting that close views on major international issues, as well as Bulgaria's EU membership provide a solid basis for a more comprehensive and dynamic partnership between the countries, the letter says.
