YEMEN VOWS TO CONTINUE WAR AGAINST AL-QAEDA

SANA'A, April 30 (Saba)- The Ministry of Interior has stressed that the latest suicide attack reflects a state of despair, adding the war on terror will continue and will never end until terrorism is eradicated.

In a press release, the Ministry said that the failed terrorist attack against the convoy of the UK ambassador in Sana'a reveals that al-Qaeda in the country suffers a deep state of despair and isolation, and also demonstrates the extent of al-Qaeda's failure to express itself.

The attack, which took place last Monday near the Berlin Garden in the capital Sana'a, was carried out by Othman Ali Numan al-Sulwi, 22, a high school student.

The ministry condemned al-Qaeda's criminal methods of deceiving the youths and turning them into explosive belts, mines and time bombs.

It classified the failed Monday attack, as well as a similar failed attack took place near the Sana'a airport carried out last year against the convoy of South Korean security officials in Yemen, as a true interpretation of the state of despair and failure that afflicts al-Qaeda in the country, which has been dealt nearly 40 severe blows by the security forces during which many of its leaders were killed.

The Yemeni Ministry stressed that it will deal more painful blows to al-Qaeda and its terrorist members in defence of Yemen and its higher interests.

It added that its war on terrorism will be continued and that the war will never end until terrorism is completely eradicated from all the Yemeni land.
