7 dead, many injured as bus overturns in western Yemen

HODEIDA, April 30 (Saba) - At
least seven people were killed and more than a dozen others were injured when a bus
overturned
while carrying about 35 passengers from Yemen to Saudi Arabia, official sources said
on Friday.
The accident took place at Bani Mansour road in the western province of Hodeida.
The bus belonged to the Rowaishan Transport Company which confirmed the death of
only five passengers.
Sources at the company noted that the overturning occurred due to mud caused by
torrential rain that lashed many parts of the republic in the last few weeks.
Some survivors, about six, have already arrived in Hodeida to continue their trip
with another bus, the sources said.
An ambulance rushed to the site and took the injured including the driver to
hospital, they added.
