TECHNICAL EDUCATION MINISTER MEETS UNESCO REPRESENTATIVE

SANA'A, May 02 (Saba)- The Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ibrahim Hajri met on Sunday with the UNESCO representative in the Arab States of the Gulf and Yemen Hamed al-Hamami.

The meeting dealt with aspects of enhancing mutual cooperation between Yemen and the organization in the field of education and vocational training.

It also dealt with the possibility to set up a joint training program between the ministry and the organization in order to support technical education, topped by girls education.

Hajri confirmed his adherence to support cooperation relations with the UNESCO, mentioning that the ministry would prepare a draft to define all requests of technical education and vocational training.

For his part, al-Hamami pointed out that the visit aims at getting acquainted with the Yemeni experience in the educational field and determining the needs in order to put it in the list of the future support.

He said that the UNESCO will send an international expert to prepare the draft of technical education requests in different fields.
