ARAB UNIFIED TRAFFIC WEEK TO BE LAUNCHED MONDAY

SANA'A, May 02 (Saba)- Yemen, along with the rest of the Arab states, is going to launch on Monday the Arab Unified Traffic Week under the slogan "For Your Safety, Delay Your Phone Calls."

Minister of Interior Mutahar al-Masri told Saba on Sunday that events of the Traffic Week will include a number of awareness activities in order to raise awareness of people against high driving speed to reduce consequences of car accidents, in addition to distributing posters and brochures in all governorates as well as holding awareness lectures.

He emphasized the importance of using safety measures to limit traffic accidents and lessen their losses, calling on traffic systems to firmly apply traffic laws and by-laws on all violators to avoid loss of lives and materials.

The minister asked media mass to perform their role with respect to traffic awareness along the year.
