Over 200 people killed in Yemen by road accidents

SANA'A, May 02 (Saba)
- About 273 people were killed and 1,400 were injured due to road
accidents throughout the country
during the past April, the Interior Ministry has reported on Sunday.
In April, terrific road accidents have been taken place in Yemen,
including an accident in Harib district in Marib province, which killed
30 people immediately.
Another accident happened in Taiz province killing 14 people, according
to a statistic report issued by the Traffic General Administration.
The report showed that there were 1,075 incidents in all provinces as
follows: 543 crash accidents, 359 running over, 153 vehicles'
overturning.
The main reasons behind the accidents were excessive speed, drivers'
neglect, technical defects, wrong overtaking, not using safety belt in
addition to vehicle technical
faults.
