ICRC to step up efforts in Harf Sufyan

AMRAN, May 02 (Saba) - International
Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said on Sunday that it would step up its efforts
in Harf Sufyan
district of Amran province, particularly after the armistice.
During his meeting with the Secretary General of Amran local council Saleh
al-Makhlos, the ICRC representative in Yemen expressed his satisfaction with the
province leaders'
cooperation in facilitating the implementation of the ICRC's tasks in the province.
Al-Makhlos hailed the ICRC efforts, calling for more humanitarian support in
accordance with the need priorities of Amran districts.
Discussing the ICRC's humanitarian efforts in the affected area due to al-Houthi
rebellion in Amran province, al-Makhlos and the ICRC representative affirmed the
importance
of enhancing the Red Cross activities in Harf Sufyan district in health, education,
sheltering and relief fields in coordination with province leadership.
The international organizations' coordinator in Amran province Yahya al-Tawaf
reviewed the efforts which the ICRC has made in the province providing relief and
sheltering
materials for nearly 3,200 families.
