ARTS AND CULTURE HELPS TO NURTURE NATIONAL TIES: SAYS MINISTER

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 (Bernama) -- Good relationships between nations leeds to
good arts and culture relationship, said the Minister of Information,
Communications and Culture Dr Rais Yatim.

"Even if the minister leaves the country for other matters there is no
compromise on dual international and society relationals," he said before
watching the theatre Muzikal Teratak Minang at Istana Budaya (Palace of Culture)
here Sunday night.

Also present was the Governor of West Sumatra, Marlis Rahman; and the
President of the Senate Abu Zahar Ujang; and Defence Minister
Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Rais said the musical displayed culture, feelings and love of the two
countries.
