ASIAN POWERLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIP START

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Powerlifting Asian Championship has started in the Sports Palace in Ulaanbaatar. Organized for the first time in Mongolia, the competitions that began May 2 are running among 360 male and female power lifters from 15 countries.
According to the organizers, the "Eleiko" company's power-lifting equipment such as complete sets, benches and stands are being used at the competitions. The attendees are competing in four divisions in the men's and women's 10 weight categories.
Mongolia is represented by 74 power-lifters. The competitions will continue until May 6.
At the previous Asian championships, the Mongolians grabbed three gold, three silver and two silver medals in the master, youth and amateur divisions.
