YEMEN SEIZES OVER 10,000 ARMS FROM CIVILIAN HANDS IN APRIL

SANA'A, May 03 (Saba) - Security authorities have seized 10,216 arms in different governorates of Yemen in April, the Interior Ministry has reported.

According to the ministry's information center, the seizures came as the disarmament campaign continues in various cities.

531 pieces have been seized inside the cities while the remaining guns were seized within security cordons surrounding cities.

Meanwhile, the ministry said it is tackling negatives associating the campaign in an effort to boost the ban of carrying weapons in public which in turn helps reduce crimes and preserve the public security.
