MALAYSIA PAVILLION ATTRACTS MORE THAN 20,000 VISITORS IN TWO DAYS

SHANGHAI, May 4 (Bernama) -- The Minangkabau roof-shaped Malaysia pavilion
at the World Pavilion attracted more than 20,000 visitors in the first two days.

Tourism Minister Dr Ng Yen Yen said the visitors were interested
in Malaysia's diverse culture and arts especially the art of batik.

The pavilion also showcased visual arts and dance, Dr Ng told Malaysian
reporters after visiting the pavilion at the expo which opened here Saturday.

More than 6,000 visitors are expected to queue up to take in the sights and
attractions of the Malaysian pavilion.

"Especially the night scene, many visitors like to take photos of the
Malaysia pavilion at night. We've received many positive responses," Dr Ng said.

She said the administration of the pavilion would be enhanced from time to
time to serve visitors best during the six-month long expo.
