SEPARATISTS OPEN FIRE AT DHALE MARKET KILLING, INJURING PEOPLE

DHALE, May 04 (Saba) – An armed gang that belonged to the separatist movement in the south has attacked a qat market in Dhale province, south Yemen, killing a civilian and injuring four others including a policeman.

A local government official said that the gang led by Ali Shaye'a Hadi, a wanted man, also opened heavy fire at the governmental building in the province barring the people from processing their papers and causing major damages to the complex.

Fans of the movement also continued to commit banditry, close roads and intimidate the people using guns, the source said.

Vandalism acts came after the people rejected the call for a widespread strike by the movement, the official said.

Meanwhile, concerted action has been urged to face vandalism and outlaws who are disturbing the public security.
