FBI OFFICIAL HAILS YEMEN'S EFFORTS IN COMBATING TERROR



SANA'A, May 04 (Saba) - Director of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Robert Mueller applauded here on Tuesday with Yemen's efforts in area of combating terror.

During his meeting with President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Mueller accentuated the USA's readiness to broaden the horizons of cooperation with Yemen as well as its support to maintain Yemen's security, stability and unity.

Mueller, who is visiting Yemen currently, congratulated the Yemen's successes in its preemptive operations against al-Qaeda hideouts, affirming that terrorism endangers security and peace of all.

President Saleh highlighted the Yemeni-US cooperation in all fields, particularly in security and anti-terrorism areas.

The President reiterated Yemen's request to receive its individual detainees in Guantanamo camp to rehabilitate or try them based on their cases' files.

President Saleh and the FBI official reviewed the common cooperation areas in addition to the issue of the Yemeni detainees in Guantanamo camp.
