President receives foreign ambassadors
VIENTIANE,4 MAY (KPL) - President Choummaly Sayasone yesterday received the credential presentations of foreign ambassadors.
The ambassadors were Mr. Oleg V.K BANOV from the Federation of Russia, Mr. Han Pong Ho from the Republic of Korea, Mr. Kria Fahmi Pasaribu from Indonesia and Mr. Vitavat Sritrak from Thailand.
President Choummaly highly valued the appointment of the new ambassadors and said that their diplomatic mission would contribute to the relations and cooperations between Laos and the respective countries.
The cooperation between Laos and the Federation of Russia covers politics, trade, investment, health, education and culture; between Laos and the Republic of Korea covers national defense and security, trade and investment.
Laos cooperates with Indonesia mainly on human resource development.
The cooperation between Thailand and Laos includes trade, investment, agriculture, education, health, labour, and infrastructure development.
