Vietnamese army units and soldiers decorated by Laos
(KPL) The Lao government has conferred its Labour Order on eight units and five individuals from the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA).
According to VNA, at a ceremony held in Hanoi on July 8, Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Sounthone Sayachack presented the Labour Order to the Vietnamese awardees in recognition of their assistance to the General PoliticalDepartment of the Lao People's Army.
The Lao diplomat said the VPA's achievements in providing Laos with personnel training, health care and equipment had markedly contributed to developing the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperationbetween the two Parties, states and people of Laos and Vietnam.
Among the awardees, the VPA General Political Department was conferred with the Labour Order, first class. Five units from the department received theLabour Order, second class, and five individuals were awarded the Labour Order, third class.
