MONGOLIA-FRANCE CONSULTATIVE MEETING HELD


Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The political, trade and economic consultative meeting of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Republic of France was held May 3 in Ulaanbaatar.
Organized for the fourth time in frames of the bilateral memorandum of understanding, the forum was chaired this time by B.Bolor, a Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, and by Jean Paul Ortiz, a director-general of the Asia-Pacific Department of the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. Present were also representatives of the Presidential Office, Cabinet Secretariat of the Government, Defense Ministry, Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, Ministry of Finance and the Authority of Nuclear Energy.
Matters were discussed such as present situation of the Mongolia-France relations, multilateral cooperation and its future, and then was considered as necessary to develop this forum into certain branches.
French side said it is satisfied with a successful development of its friendly ties with Mongolia and that it will try organize visits of the State Secretaries of the Finance International Development Cooperation of France to Mongolia in this year's third quarter with an aim to intensify the bilateral cooperation.
