MATHEMATICS OLYMPIAD TO BE ORGANIZED


Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The 46th State Mathematics Olympiad will run in Ulaanbaatar on May 7-11. An organizing committee of the Olympiad announced Wednesday that the measure will be named after well-known Academician Tugalkhuu Janlav.
Advisor Professor of the School of Mathematics and Computer at the National University of Mongolia, Doctor and Professor of Physics and Mathematics Sciences, Academician Janlav has made a great contribution to the promotion of the maths and physics sciences in Mongolia. A Head of the Education Department of Khovd province B.Dugerjav said,"We are so glad that the State Mathematics Olympiad will be a competition named after the Academician Janlav who was born in Tsetseg Soum, Khovd province".
At the press conference, the organizing committee said that over 200 young students, studying in 8th-11th grades of the secondary schools of 21 provinces and the capital city, as well as 60 teachers of maths, will take part in the 46th Olympiad.
"Winners of the competition will be awarded the right to take part in International Mathematics Olympiad to be held in Astana, Kazakhstan this year. In addition to it, winners will be granted the right to enroll the School of Mathematics and Computer at the National University of Mongolia without entrance examination. Tuition fees of four-years studying will be covered by the school", said Honorary Teacher, Doctor Ts.Dashdorj, a Chairman of the Committee of Mongolian Mathematics Olympiad.
