TURKEY OFFERS 100 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR YEMENI STUDENTS

SANA'A, May 09 (Saba) – Turkey offered on Sunday scholarships for Yemeni students, of high school graduates, to study in the field of journalism and media, in addition to 100 scholarships to study in colleges of education in Turkey, including all financial expenditures.

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Saleh ba-Sura welcomed the Turkish offer during his meeting here with the Director General of Turkish Schools in Yemen.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed the arrangements for the visit of Turkish press delegation consisting of 20 journalists for getting acquainted with Yemen's experience in the field of higher education.

The Turkish official presented a brief to ba-Sura on the tourist, cultural and scientific program prepared for the delegation, which would arrive next week.

Moreover, the Turkish official informed ba-Sura the consent of the Turkish Fatih University to cut 50 percent of the fees for the students who are nominated by the Yemeni Ministry of Higher Education to study at the university in computer technology, in addition to giving them free housing.
