Preparations for President Saleh visit to Russia discussed
MOSCOW, July 11 (Saba)- A Yemeni military delegation has discussed with Russian officials preparations for a upcoming visit of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to Moscow in response to an invitationfrom his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.
The delegation headed by Defense Minister Mohammad Nasir Ahmad also talked with the Russian officials on means of promoting bilateralcooperation relations between the two countries.
Well-informed sources said on Thursday to the weekly newspaper 26September that President Saleh's visit to Russia would enhance the good level of the relationship between Yemen and Russia in variousfields.
The sources revealed that the Mig institution would modernize allMig fighter jet aircrafts owned by Yemeni Armed Forces.
The sources added that Russia is currently studying the possibilityof supplying Yemen of antiarmor missile systems "KORNET 1".
