TWO-DAY ETIQUETTE COURSE FOR MALAYSIAN STUDENTS IN SAUDI ARABIA




KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Students Department (MSD) in
Jordan and the Malaysian Students Association in Madinah have organised a
two-day course on organisational management for Malaysian students in Saudi
Arabia.

The course, held at the Islamic University of Madinah on Wednesday and
Thursday, covered aspects such as organisational management, formal letter
writing, financial management procedure, protocol management, good emceeing as
well as telephone and dining etiquettes.

Jordan MSD director Sulaiman Ismail said a lecturer at the university, Prof
Dr Abdul Karim Ibrahim AlGhudayh, who is also the Mufti of the Nabawi Mosque,
welcomed the initiative as it could enhance the students' knowledge.

"Prof Dr Abdul Karim, who represented the university's rector, also took
part in some of the segments and suggested that the course materials be
translated into Arabic for the benefit of other students," he said in a
statement e-mailed to Bernama Sunday.

President of the Malaysian Students Association in Madinah, Mohamad Ashik
Abu Hanifa, said they gained valuable inputs on how to manage an organisation,
and observe etiquettes and protocols when organising an event.
