AIRASIA INTRODUCES NEW BAGGAGE POLICY

KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 (Bernama) -- Low cost carrier AirAsia has introduced
the Pre-booked Baggage Supersize Fees, which allow its customers savings up to
50 per cent, when they "supersize" their baggage online.

In a statement, AirAsia said the step towards revamping its baggage
fee structure, is to offer more affordable rates to its customers with baggage
of 20kg to 30kg.

Under the "Supersize" option online, 20kg of baggage is offered at RM30
(US$1=RM3.2) while for non-Supersize, it is RM30 for the first 15kg and up to
RM20
for each subsequent kilogramme at the counter, it added.

Its Head of Ancillary Income, Rafizah Amran said customers are often faced
with problem of excessive weight and exorbitant baggage fees and last year
660,000 people paid RM91 million for excess baggage.
