VERDICTS ON 12 SOMALI PIRATES TO BE PASSED

ADEN, May 10 (Saba) - The Specialized Penal court is to pass on Tuesday sentences against 12 Somalis on charges of piracy and kidnapping a Yemeni oil tanker, the state-run 26sep.net reported on Monday.

In the first session on September 29th, the prosecution has accused the Somalis of kidnapping a Yemeni oil tanker called "Qana" while sailing from Mukalla port to Aden on 26 April 2009.

The Somali pirates resisted security forces as trying to free the ship causing the death the sailor Salah al-Qua'aiti and four injuries in addition to consider another sailor as missing.
