EUROPE DAY MARKED IN YEMEN

SANA'A, May 10 (Saba)- Delegation of the European Union in Sana'a organized on Monday a reception ceremony , marking 9th May of Europe Day in Yemen.

In the celebration, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amt al-Razaq Hamoud affirmed importance of boosting Yemeni-European partnership to support the development process in Yemen.

The ceremony was attended by speaker of the parliament Mohammed al-Shadadi.

The minister also highlighted efforts of the union to support the unity of Yemen and its security and stability as well as the EU assistance for the development and democracy of Yemen.

She also valued support of the union for programs and issues the Yemeni woman, reviewing achievements realized for the Yemeni woman under leadership of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

For his part, the ambassador of the EU to Yemen Michele Cervone d'Urso affirmed commitment of the union to offer help to Yemen in domain of security, political dialogue as well as humanitarian and economic assistance.

He said that the delegation would extend its activities in the country, revising achievements of the union during the past decade.
