Al-Qirbi visits Italy, China

SANA'A, May 10 (Saba)- Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi started on Monday a round of official visits to foreign countries,
including Italy and China.

Speaking to Saba, al-Qirbi said that he will hold talks with his Italian
counterpart Franco Frattini on bilateral relations between the two friendly
countries in various
areas, pointing out that Italy is one of the donors which help Yemen in the field of
strengthening coastguard forces and protecting Yemen's coasts.
For his visiting to China, al-Qirbi made it clear he will take part in a Forum of
Arab-China Cooperation which will be held in Beijing on May 16-23.
"The forum will focus on issues of common interest of both sides", said al-Qirbi,
praising Chin's attitude towards the Israeli-Arab conflict as well as its strong
support
for Yemen's unity and stability.
He also added that he will discuss with his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi the
bilateral relations of the two countries and means of boosting them.
