PRIVATISATION MINISTER TO REPRESENT PAKISTAN PM AT WIEF

KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 (Bernama) -- Pakistan's Minister for Privatization,
Senator Waqar Ahmad, will represent the country's Prime Minister, Syed Yusuf
Raza Gilani, at the 6th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) here.

In a statement here Tuesday, its high commission said Pakistan would set up
a pavilion at the WIEF exhibition to showcase its products including mangoes,
handcrafts, women's garments and traditional jewellery.

It said Pakistan would also be represented in the Businesswomen's Forum and
the Young Leaders' Forum.

The two-day forum, starting May 19, would focus on forging cooperation among
the member states in areas such as tourism, small- and medium-scale enterprises,
water management, branding, technology for education, entrepreneurship and
business ethics, innovation and Islamic banking.

The forum is expected to host a line-up of heads of state and government.
