QATARI PRIME MINISTER TO VISIT FRIDAY

KUALA LUMPUR, May 12 (Bernama) -- Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad Jassim
Jabr Al Thani will make a one-day working visit here on Friday.

Sheikh Hamad and Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak will hold
discusions and witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding between
1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), a
Wisma Putra (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) statement hefe says.

This will be Sheikh Hamad's first working visit here as prime minister. He
was here in 2006 as first deputy prime minister.

Sheikh Hamad, who is also foreign minister, and Najib are expected to
discuss bilateral, regional and international issues.

The statement says the visit will further enhance bilateral cooperation in
trade, investment, higher education, finance, Islamic banking and the 'halal'
industry.
