HOUTHI GROUP CONTINUES CEASEFIRE BREACH; 4 SOLDIERS ABDUCTED IN JAWF

SANA'A, May, 12 (Saba) – Houthi elements have abducted four soldiers in Jawf province in northeast Yemen, in an escalation that comes as the Houthi Group continues breaching the ceasefire deal reached in February this year, the September 26 website reported on Wednesday.

The group intercepted the soldiers' car while on their way to Saada province in the far north forcing them under gun threat to get out and then kidnapped them.

The group has been reluctant to implementing the terms of the deal, and moreover, its members are hampering all efforts to establish peace in the region, official sources noted.

Since the ceasefire was brought into effect on February 11, the committees overseeing its implementation have reported many violations by the group, including exchanges of fire, kidnapping civilians and soldiers and attacking properties.
