IM MEETS YEMEN'S FRIEND GROUP'S DELEGATION

SANA'A, May 12 (Saba) - Interior Minister Mutahar al-Masri met here on Wednesday with a delegation of Yemen's Friends Group headed by Arnold Luethold, who is visiting Yemen currently.

During the meeting, al-Masri discussed with the delegation a number of issues concerning the Interior Ministry's work and the nature of its security duties and responsibilities, as well as the best ways to provide the security services with technical assistance in various fields.

Interior minister talked about the efforts achieved by the security bodies to encounter the security challenges, topped by fighting on terror, and the successes have been done in this regard.

He reviewed the steps made by the interior ministry to develop the performance of its security bodies through creating many vital units and carrying out plans that assist in stabilize the country and control crimes, noting that the ministry is working currently with UK experts to upgrade the work of the police stations.

He expressed appreciation of the attitude of the international community, EU and Arab states, who support Yemeni unification and stability.
