Yemen is keen to boost cooperation with WB
SANA'A, May 15 (Saba) - Minister of
Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi affirmed on Saturday
Yemen's keenness
to boost the bilateral cooperation with the World Bank (WB).
This came during a meeting gathered al-Arhabi and the WB's Regional Director of
Middle East and North Africa David Craig, during which they reviewed the current
cooperation
between Yemen and the WB and means of boosting them to serve the common goals.
Al-Arhabi praised the WB's contributions to support and enhance the Yemeni
government's efforts in applying reforms.
For his part, the WB's official congratulated al-Arhabi on his winning of the WB's
Jit Gill Memorial Award for Outstanding Public Service for 2010.
He renewed the WB's interest in offering all aspects of possible support to Yemen,
lauding the level of existing cooperation between Yemen and the Bank.
