JUDOISTS WIN MEDALS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Judoists have won medals in World Cup competitions held last weekend in Cairo city, Egypt. Our judoists took seventh place among teams from 28 countries in the team results thanks to one gold and one bronze medals.
At the first day of the competitions, May 15, contests ran of men's 60, 66 and 73 kg and women's 48, 52, 57 and 63 kg categories. Mongolian judoists Ch.Boldbaatar (men's 60 kg), B.Khishigbayar (66 kg), D.Dolgoon (66 kg), G.Purevdorj (73 kg), M.Urantsetseg (women's 48 kg), and Ts.Monkhzaya (63 kg) competed in them. Ts.Monkhzaya won a gold medal defeating her rivals from Turkey, Azerbaijan and France. She had a bye in her first round.
Ch.Boldbaatar in the men's 60 kg won a bronze medal. He had a bye in his first round, and won the medal by defeating a Czech judoist in the repechage round.
