By Abdul Muin Majid
DUBAI, May 17 (Bernama) -- Dubai-based low-cost airline, Flydubai, has
begun flying to Afghanistan's largest city, Kabul.
Passengers on the inaugural flight included United Arab Emirates'
Ambassador to Afghanistan Yousuf Khamis Saeed Subaa Al Ali and Flydubai's

"The start of Flydubai's service to Kabul is a major expansion for our
airline and an important step forward in the re-emergence of Afghanistan.
"Flydubai is responding to the need for quality, reliable, safe and
low-cost air travel between the capital of Afghanistan and the emirate of
Dubai, which is home to a sizeable Afghan population," Flydubai's Chief
Executive Ghaith Al Ghaith said in remarks made available here.
Flights from Dubai to Kabul, a journey of 1,688km, will be daily and are
priced from 725 dirhams (about RM630) for a one-way trip including taxes.
