YEMEN IN TALKS WITH IFAD ON PROJECTS IMPLEMENTATION

SANA'A, May 17 (Saba)- Undersecretary of Agriculture Minister Abdul-Malik al- Thawr held Monday talks with a delegation from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

The talks were over the ongoing implementation of projects funded by IFAD in Yemen and the assessment of the entry of a new strategy for its support during the coming stage.

During the meeting, al-Thawr praised IFAD's support for agricultural development in Yemen which would strengthen the role of the agricultural sector in providing food security.

He pointed out that the projects implemented by IFAD in Yemen during the past period have shaped the infrastructure for agricultural development in the country.
