SANA'A INTERNATIONAL FORUM FOR FINE ARTS BEGINS

SANA'A, May 17 (Saba) - The 3rd round of Sana'a International Forum for Fine Arts launched on Monday by the Minister of Culture Mohammed al-Maflahi with participation of 15 Arab States.

The forum participated by 167 artists from UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, China, Austria and Philippines in addition to France as an honor guest.

During the launching ceremony, al-Mafalhi opened an art exhibition at the Culture House contained 180 paintings for 167 artists from Yemen and 10 Arab and foreign countries.

The minister also opened workshops on graphics, drilling on minerals and Islamic decoration.

It is worth mention that the forum is organized as a part of events of "Tarim" capital of Islamic Culture 2010 and will last to May 24.
