Yemen, WB discuss further cooperation

SANA'A, May 18 (Saba) - Yemen and World Bank
(WB) discussed here on Monday the cooperation relations on economic and development
fields
and means of enhancing the private sector's role in the development process.
During their meeting, Minister of Industry and Trade Yhaya al-Mutawakel and WB's
Regional Director of Middle East and North Africa David Craig discussed the means
of enhancing
the industry role in the comprehensive development in Yemen.
They also discussed the steps made by Yemen to join to the World Trade Organization
(WTO) and the support that can be provided by the World Bank in this regard.
Al-Mutawakel appreciated the cooperation between Yemen and the bank in different
fields, highlighted the successes were achieved by Yemen in the implementation of
the reform
program.
