AMERICAN PROFESSOR BECOMES HONORARY DOCTOR OF MSU
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian State University (MSU) has awarded David Pichaske, a professor of the Southwest Minnesota State University, with an honorary doctorate degree, the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia reported Tuesday.
Professor Pichaske first came to Mongolia in 2003 as a Fulbright Scholar, and since then he has maintained a close relationship with the staff and students in the MSU's Department of English and American Studies. He has also established a scholarship program that aims to serve disadvantaged Mongolian students by helping fund their university tuition at the MSU. This scholarship has served over 30 students in the past seven years.
