Expressing "unreserved disappointment" at Doha Round of
trade negotiations not delivering expected development-
oriented outcome, the G-15 asked WTO members to resist the
temptation to adopt protectionist and trade-distorting
measures.
Talks on the Doha round, part of the global trade talks,
have been stalled over differences on trade barriers and
agriculture subsidies. If clinched, it could boost global
trade by USD 300 billion a year and act as a prop to the
nascent recovery from the economic crisis. PTI
